Tommy is a Finance Consultant and resource who teaches basic to complex finance strategies and investment knowledge to adults and teens alike in communities with populations that statistically experience the systematic wealth gap.
Tommy believes that knowledge is a powerful tool and financial literacy is a dominant subject in fundamental education, but also the building blocks of financial freedom and generational wealth.
As an adolescent, Tommy was raised in the foster care system, where he faced the adversities of homelessness and poverty, finding shelter at his local gym and under the bleachers at school. Once he aged out of the system, Tommy worked and paid his way through college. During this time of his youth, he observed a consistency in lack of financial literacy within his peers and himself.
Upon transitioning into education after graduation, this narrative persisted in his colleagues, superiors, parents, and students. At this point, Tommy committed himself to learning wealth management strategies and developed an outlook that he would be a part of the change he wanted to see, and this is how the TE Financial seed was planted.
His program has and will continue the movement to educate and build wealth in communities with populations that often lack the necessary tools and education to achieve these goals.
In addition to consulting, he has more than 10 years working in public education as an administrator, educator, mentor, and coach. In doing so, Tommy has funded the Ewing Scholarship Fund with thousands of dollars, supporting many students with college tuition.
Tommy holds a BA in Family Child Development from Texas State University and a MBA in Finance Management from Lamar University. He currently resides in Austin, Texas, where he and his lovely wife are proud parents to a beautiful daughter who they absolutely adore and her 4 fur siblings.
